I was unable to attend this event because I was sick; however, Linzi delivered wonderful performance.
2009 Nutcracker (Polichinelle)
I was unable to attend this event but I heard from friends the performance was brilliant. Linzi performed wonderfully and was very cute in her costume.
2009 The Sleeping Beauty (Village Child)
Linzi was a “Village Child” in the 2009 Sleeping Beauty. Although her part was not as long we were still proud of her stage performance. We really enjoy the ballet and looking forward to upcoming events.
Linzi will be moving up to "Pointe" during the 2009 ballet season. Linzi is looking forward to new developments this ballet season.
2008 Nutcracker (Party Child)
Linzi was a “Party Child” in the 2008 Nutcracker. After receiving the results from her audition she was a very excited because this was the exact part she wanted so things worked out for her.
It was a wonderful experience to see her on stage. Everyone delivered a magical performance. We are very proud of Linzi and my heart was touched from her performance.
2008 Cinderella (Dancer)
Linzi is currently practicing for the upcoming Cinderella performance. All we can say at this time is we are looking forward to see her performance and we’re sure she will do just find.
2007 Nutcracker (Peppermint)
Linzi had decided early in the year not to perform in the 2007 Nutcracker performance due to her current figure skating schedule. However, at the last minute a little girl dropped out and Linzi’s ballet instructor asked if Linzi can fill the spot. Of course we convinced Linzi to perform and she did.
Linzi was an “Fairy” in last year performance and now she’s a “Peppermint”. She performed in Act II in three separate scenes. We remember the long late night practices how tired she was but all the hard work paid off.
The costumes were very colorful and when Linzi added her smile it seems like the room came alive. Everyone was proud of her performance especially me. She performed with girls a little older than her but she performed at there level. We are very proud of Linzi.
2007 A Midnight Summers Dream (Fairy)
This was Linzi's first ballet performance using actual ballet techniques. She was a “Fairy” in the performance. We were amazed to see how relaxed she was on stage. Her performance was perfect and she had a wonderful time on stage. She was in both Acts I and Act II in one scene each.
We were a very proud parents and yes a little nervous that she might miss a step or something. But to my surprise she gave a wonderful performance. Of course she had her smile happening and everyone said she was having fun. We think Linzi has a natural talent for the stage.
2006 Nutcracker (Bunny)
Linzi performed in the annual Nutcracker performance as the “Bunny”. We thought she was so cute. Although her performance didn’t require and ballet steps she performed in sequence with the remaining members as she marched in front of the audience. We were just proud to see her on stage, we knew in time she will perform in more challenging positions.
Linzi is also a member of the local figure skating club and performing very well. She has a very demanding schedule with practices five days a week and on Saturdays several weeks before each ballet performance. It’s very hard at times but its all worth it in the long run.
2000 Beginning Ballet
Linzi started ballet at the age of 2.5 at the Dance Conservatory, the official school of Lafayette Ballet Theatre at Lafayette, LA. She has always enjoyed dance and over the years grown to discover a desire that words can’t explain.
We remember attending her first ballet review and we was really impressed with her enthusiasm. We always knew she had an articulate talent and always surprised to hear others mention Linzi’s ability.
Linzi’s teacher always admired her development and interest to shine. In 2006 we decided to try Linzi’s talent in the Nutcracker, an annual performance held by the Lafayette Ballet Theatre.
